Question Very slow upload speeds

Hi all,

Flash FXP 1.4.2 Build 831
Operating System Windows 2000 and Windows XP Pro.

I get very poor upload speeds to a unix box over an internal 100 mbit lan. I am able to download files at 9MB/sec but only can achieve 400-800KB/sec uploading. Other unix boxes can xfer files in both directions from the same ftp server at 9MB/sec.

If i do a mouse down on any scroll bar on the flashfxp screen the xfer immediately speeds up to the normal rate.

I did a tcpdump on the unix box and it would appear that when things are going really slow, most of the xfers are being pushed (every other one, instead of every now and again when it is going fast).

I'm not sure if this is flashfxp related.

I can provide a copy of the tcpdump's if required.

I havn't heard of this, maybe the author has.. but I always suggest to people who are using old builds to update to the latest one and then test the 'problem' with the new build. Build 851 is already out... A few fixes since 831.

Test that out and let us know if there is still the same problem.

You need to upgrade to atlest build 835. In 835 I figured a way to make it much faster.
